About Chris
Chris was introduced to photography through his wife, Sarah. Ever since he was a boy, he has always had a strong interest in aviation. This led him to pursue drone photography and eventually develop a passion for photography on the ground and in the air.
Chris served in the Marine Corps as an aircraft mechanic in Japan and the United States. Chris and Sarah have been married since 2018.
Both Chris and Sarah were raised in New Hampshire, and they have two yellow labs, two horses, and a rescue kitty. They are passionate about their animals, creating art, New England sports teams, and adventuring outdoors.

Meet Sarah
Sarah first started with photography when she enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2018. Through the Defense Information School, she received professional training as a combat videographer in basic and intermediate-level cinematography. Once she mastered videography, she incorporated photography and videography into her excursions throughout Japan, Australia, and the United States.

Sarah was named the 2020 Department of Defense and Marine Corps Military Photographer of the Year and the 2021 Marine Corps Military Photographer of the Year.
She has a knack for connecting with those she photographs and giving her clients the best images and experience.

Capture the North was founded by multi-award-winning, and published photographer Sarah K. Marshall and her husband, Christopher Marshall. Both are Marine Corps veterans and native New Englanders. Despite traveling across the world while serving in the Marine Corps, there is still something so magical about the New England area for them. Capture the North was founded on the idea of photographing the beauty of the region, with the people who make New England so beautiful.
